BASTILLE 1789, the unique hand-crafted Whisky with a French heritage and a taste experience like no other. A pioneer of its category!
In the world of French spirits, the roots of MAISON DAUCOURT run four generations deep. It began with an Irish Mother and a French Father, who was the Director of a Worldwide renowned Spirit brand. Who better than the two sons and Master-Distillers of MAISON DAUCOURT to create a French line of French Whiskies.
The DAUCOURT family owns a vineyard and distillery in the prestigious appellation of Les Charentes. As a young man, Jean-Marc Daucourt went to work for a famous Scotch distillery. There, he discovered the origins of whisky. Then together with his brother Edouard they traveled the world, learning how to perfect the art of whisky making.
With a rich heritage, BASTILLE 1789 was born from many years of work by MAISON DAUCOURT. BASTILLE 1789 is a singular whisky, with a unique French “Savoir faire”, a perfect balance between refinement and a touch of smoke “à la Française”.
Naturally, Jean-Marc and Edouard taught their know-how and experience to their nephew Charles Daucourt. As Brand Manager, and Master Distiller too, Charles brings a new touch to the family distillery. The combination of all generations makes BASTILLE 1789 Whisky a unique experience.
